Tecno to launch Camon 16 series with 64MP quad camera on September 3

Tecno is teasing the arrival of a new Camon 16 series in its key markets. The company took to Twitter to tease the launch of a new phone in the Kenya. However, the new series is likely to hit Tecno’s key markets such as Nigeria, India, Pakistan, and etc. Tecno Camon 16 series smartphones will launch via an AR event on September 3. The online launch event will be live-streamed on YouTube at 10.30 P.M.

To recall, the company introduced Tecno Camon 15 series earlier this year and the series includes Camon 15, Camon 15 Pro smartphones. While the company hasn’t revealed specs of the smartphones, we won’t have to wait too long to know all of the official details.

The company is teasing the upcoming series with hashtag #MoreThanACameraPhone on Twitter. One of these posters which shows the front render of the phone that revealed full-screen display with a dual punch-hole in the top-left corner. The upcoming Tecno smartphones will feature ultra-thin bezels at the chin of the full screen design. As per a teaser shared by the brand, it will also support a 33W flash charging.

The forthcoming Tecno device will sport a 6.9-inch dual dot-in display. On the rear side, the handset will feature a quad-camera setup with a primary 64-megapixel sensor camera. To recall, the predecessor Tecno Camon 15 unveiled with 48-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, the phone will come with a 48-megapixel selfie camera. However, there is no details on the secondary selfie sensor.
