A new budget phone from Tecno was unveiled in Nigeria: the Spark 8. This handset features MediaTek’s Helio P22 SoC, triple cameras, Android 11 (Go edition), and a 5000mAh battery.

Tecno Spark 8 Price
Priced at NGN 50,000 (approx. Rs 8,900), the new Tecno Spark 8 comes in single 2GB RAM and 64GB storage variant.
The smartphone is already up for grabs in Nigeria via multiple online retailers. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t disclosed any details regarding the phone’s international availability.
Tecno Spark 8 Specifications
Tecno Spark 8 fitted with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixels resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Helio P22 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The device also has a microSD card slot for additional storage.
It features dual rear cameras with a quad-LED flash. The setup includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a QVGA secondary camera. Upfront, there is an 8-megapixel sensor.
On the software front, it boots Android 11 (Go edition) with HiOS 7.6 skin. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for standard 10W charging. The phone has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and also has face recognition.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 163.8 x 75.6 x 8.4mm in dimensions and weighs 190g.
