Last month, Tecno unveiled the Camon 16 Premier smartphone globally. Since then, the smartphone’s arrival in India has been teased quite often but we never had any confirmation. Now, Tecno India has officially confirmed that the brand is set to launch Camon 16 in India.
The Chinese brand has confirmed the arrival of Camon 16 in India through a series of teasers on its official Indian Twitter handle. Apart from the launch date, the tweet also confirms that the smartphone will be made available via Flipkart.

The teasers shared by the company also reveals the design of the phone. On the rear, the phone features a square-shaped camera setup alongside a fingerprint scanner. The phone will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor on the rear side. Upfront, it has a punch-hole cutout for a selfie camera on the top left.
While Indian pricing details aren’t concrete, the Tecno Camon 16 is expected to fall under the mid-range segment and be priced under Rs. 15,000.
Tecno Camon 16 Premier Specifications
To recall, the Tecno Camon 16 Premier houses a 6.9-inch Full HD+ dual dot-in display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels along with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Fuelled by the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, it is coupled with Mali-G76 GPU. It comes in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The back panel of the Tecno Camon 16 Premier features a quad-camera system that includes 64-megapixel primary lens, 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel ultra night portrait lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it hs a dual punch-hole camera setup with a combination of a 48-megapixel primary lens and an 8-megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle lens.
The handset boots Android 10 OS out of the box. The 4,500mAh battery of the phone carries support for 33W fast charging which is claimed to charge 70 percent in just 30 minutes. Connectivity features include support for 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port.
