Sony has now refreshed its Xperia L series with the launch of the Sony Xperia L4 smartphone. This will be the successor of last year’s Sony Xperia L3. The new phone will be available in Black and Blue color options in select markets from Spring 2020 onwards. The company is yet to reveal the pricing details of the Xperia L4.
Sony Xperia L4 Specifications
Sony Xperia L4 gets a 6.2-inch HD+ display that has a screen resolution of 1680 x 720 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 21:9. Powering the phone at its core is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset along with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Sony Xperia L4 gets a total of three cameras at the rear. The setup comprises of a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5-megapixel 117° ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture upfront.
On the software front, the device runs on Android 9 Pie. A 3,5800mAh battery backs all of this. The phone supports face unlock and also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options onboard include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC. The phone measures 159 x 71 x 8.7mm and the weight is 178grams.
