Sony is all set to launch its new flagship called Xperia X24 at upcoming Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona on February 25. The smartphone got a huge rumour mill with which got to know pretty much idea about the device that sports a world first feature with a cinema-grade 21:9 display.B ut in recent times, Some netizens have leaked the real images of Sony’s new flagship. Where the front design is notably different from the past Sony devices. On the display front, It bears a pill-shaped icon at the bottom that replaces the three traditional buttons while providing a new full-screen gesture.
As per the new leaked images of flagship on Weibo, The device boasts a 21:9 screen design which is as confirmed earlier by the company that features a 6.5 inches display with a 4K resolution + HDR technology. The leaks claim that while Sony has redesigned the home screen to take advantage of the extra screen real estate, but this design doesn’t take many advantages with its pill-shaped button at the bottom. However, the device doesn’t use any notch on the top, and Sony is further trimming the forehead and chin to achieve this taller aspect ratio.
As per the previous leaks the new flagship could launch with one’s new sensor IMX 666 but the new render from the blogger says this sensor does exist and further he also says that it is just a development prototype, which is actually 1/1.5 CMOS area and will not be used on phones. The blogger claims that Sony will instead use the IMX 664 and IMX 500 sensors for the triple rear camera setup.
The new flagship with Sony IMX 664 supports the 48-megapixel resolution and is a 1/1.8-inch sensor. While IMX 500, s a 1/1.7-inch mid-range sensor with support for the 40-megapixel resolution. The new flagship smartphone is also being tipped to be called the Xperia N1 and could arm by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
On the back, The device will feature a triple camera and said to use a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, support IP68 water and dust resistance, and come installed with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box, reports iGeekPhone.
For pricing, The device is said to come at £799 (around Rs 73,500) for the 128GB variant, while the 256GB storage model could retail for £899 (around Rs 82,500). Compared to the previous price leaks with a Chinese price is 7999 yuan (Approx.RS 83,90) is very consistent. So we look forward to seeing more leaks and details on the new flagship.
