Sirin Finney Blockchain Smartphone Launched

Switzerland-based startup Sirin Labs has launched a new smartphone which is powered blockchain smartphone which is called as Finney. Last month, the company had said that FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer Foxconn, will manufacture its Finney blockchain smartphone, which is designed to securely store and use cryptocurrencies like litecoin and bitcoin without any transactions fees. The company has claimed that Finney, is the world’s first blockchain-based smartphone, which can easily and automatically convert tokens for the use of different applications.

Processor and Display

The Sirin Finney is powered and supported by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, and bears a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of18:9, which comes with 6GB RAM.

Price

The target price of the handset has been set at $999 which is roughly Rs. 67,300 in Indian currency. It is currently available for pre-order with a 10 percent discount via the company’s official site and an ecommerce platform.

Operating System

The single-SIM (Nano) Sirin Finney runs on the Android version 8.1 out of the box. The smartphone sports a 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Camera department

On the photography department, the smartphone features a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, with low-light imaging and ultra-fast laser autofocus. It also sports an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.

Storage

The Sirin Finney is equipped with 128GB of inbuilt onboard storage which can be extended further via MicroSD of 2TB.

Connectivity options

Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and NFC.

Battery

It is powered by a battery of 3000mAh which is a removable one, on which the company promises will get fully charged in 2 hours.
