Samsung has launched a new flip-phone with high-end specifications. The new flip phone W2019 comes with two AMOLED screens so you can use it without opening it but when unfolded, you will be greeted with the number dial pad and hardware navigation keys.
Both the Super AMOLED displays have a 16:9 aspect ratio, 4.2″ diagonal and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The device is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 845 coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, which is also expandable.
The device features same camera setup that we’ve seen on the Samsung Galaxy S9+. On the rear, there is a dual-lens setup with a 12-megapixel variable aperture camera (ranging between f/1.5 to f/2.4) with a wide-angle lens, and other is a 12-megapixel telephoto lens of aperture f/2.4. Up front, the flip-phone holds an 8-megapixel camera with a f/2.0 aperture lens.
In terms of battery, the Samsung W2019 sports a capacity of 3,070mAh, which is charged using a USB Type-C connector. The Samsung W2019 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box that has Samsung’s own UI on top of it.
There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the W2019 flip phone and the device features 960fps super slow-motion recording and dual-SIM support. The phone runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Just like other flagship smartphones from Samsung, the new flip-phone W2019 also comes with a dedicated Bixby button.
The W2019 will be exclusively available through China Unicom, and sales will open November 11th. The phone comes in Rose Gold and Platinum color options.
