Samsung is planning to launch a new smartphone over its Galaxy A-series in India. The phone is expected to boast a new dual rear camera and the smartphone will be a premium device in the Rs 30,000 and above price segment with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and 6GB of RAM. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is also set to launch the new premium phone in the next few months. So it could be one of the true competitors for the upcoming Samsung phone.
Coming to the specifications of the Galaxy A, the new phone will feature a 6.3-inch full HD+ AMOLED “Infinity Display”. On the camera department, the device is expected to have dual rear camera setup with 16 megapixels and 24 megapixels with “Live Focus” feature and an immense 24 megapixels front camera.
To recall, Samsung was launched Galaxy A6+ in India for Rs 25,990 with a massive 6-inch display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The Samsung Galaxy A6+ was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and backed by a 3,500mAh battery.
Samsung’s upcoming phone seems to compete with OnePlus 6 which is available in India at a starting price of Rs 34,999. Featuring a 6.28-inch screen with 19:9 aspect ratio, OnePlus 6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor equipped with up to 8GB of RAM.

As far as the camera is concerned, OnePlus 6 features a dual rear camera setup with 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensors. The dual cameras have OIS, EIS, and ultra slow-motion video recording at 480fps feature. Up front, the device has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
