Samsung has raised the prices of its Galaxy M12 and Galaxy F12 smartphones. Both of these devices were introduced in India in March and April, respectively. The design and specifications of these two handsets are similar.
Samsung Galaxy M12, Galaxy F12 New Prices
Galaxy M12 was launched in India by Samsung for Rs 10,999. Its price has gone up by Rs 500. Currently, the device can be bought in India for Rs 11,499. Samsung has also raised the price of the Galaxy F12 by Rs 500. With the new price hike, the 4GB/64GB model of the Galaxy F12 costs Rs 11,499 whereas the 4GB/128GB model costs Rs 12,499. Samsung previously introduced the Galaxy F12 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB models in India for Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy M12 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor which is said to be Exynos 850. The phone is backed by 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 1TB via a micro SD card slot.
In terms of optics, Samsung Galaxy M12 houses four cameras – 48-megapixel primary lens with f/2.0 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture – at the back along with an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) camera on the front.
The handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone recognizes face features to unlock the device using the face unlock feature. It is fuelled by a 6000mAh battery with support for 15W Adaptive fast charging and it runs on Android 11 OS with the company’s OneUI 3.0 running on top of it. On the connectivity front, the handset has dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone measures 164.0mm x 75.9mm x 9.7mm and weighs 221 grams.

Samsung Galaxy F12 flaunts a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla 3. It is powered by an Exynos 850 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
The device includes a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 48MP ISOCELL GM2 primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a pair of 2MP depth and macro sensors. As for selfies and video calls, the phone comes with an 8MP sensor on the front punch hole.
Samsung Galaxy F12 is backed by a 6000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. It ships with Android 11-based OneUI 3.1 skin on top. On the connectivity front, the handset supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. It also has Dolby Atmos, Widevine L1 certification, a MicroSD card slot.
