Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 full specifications, renders leak

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 are scheduled to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event next week. Meanwhile, full specifications and renders have leaked. Samsung‘s upcoming foldable handsets have been the subject of numerous leaks and rumours for some time and will likely cost less than their predecessors. According to the latest leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have an outside display measuring 6.2 inches and a 2.6-inch screen on the inside.

According to two separate reports by WinFuture, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 renders and specifications provide a good insight into the upcoming foldable phones. Taking a look at the Galaxy Z Fold 3, we can see that it has a triple rear camera setup arranged vertically. Images show purple and black variants, though it’s also said to come in Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver colours.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 3, has a dual-tone finish and a dual camera on the back, or the front when it’s closed. There will be three color options: Cream, Lavender, and Phantom Black.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 specifications (expected)

It will run Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 skin. The device may have a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED main display with 2,208×1,768 pixels resolution, 374ppi pixel density, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, the device features a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 2,260×832 pixels resolution, 387ppi pixel density, and 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 may run on Snapdragon 888, with up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

In terms of its camera setup, it is expected to feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens and 123-degree field-of-view (FoV), and a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 zoom lens and OIS. When folded, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 holds a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens and when it is unfolded, it will have a 4-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens.

The phone is expected to have 5G, LTE, Bluetooth v5, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, a fingerprint scanner may be integrated into the display. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to feature a 4,400mAh battery that supports fast charging and wireless charging. The handset may measure 158.2×67.1×14.4mm when closed and 158.2×128.1×6.4mm when open. It may weigh 271 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Specifications (Expected)

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to come equipped with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED foldable main display with 2,640×1,080 pixels resolution, 425ppi pixel density, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and 120Hz refresh rate. As for the outside, the device might have a 1.9-inch display with 260×512 pixels resolution. The phone is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the optics front, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to feature a dual-camera containing a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 sensor and OIS and a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens. On the inside, you might find a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

Among the expected connectivity options are 5G, LTE, Bluetooth v5, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well. Galaxy Z Flip 3 may have a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support. The foldable is expected to measure 166×72.2×6.9mm and weigh 183 grams.

The latest leak should be taken with a pinch of salt since Samsung has not revealed any specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Both phones are expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11.
