In a ‘Galaxy Unpacked Event 2020’, Samsung has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7+ alongside the new Galaxy Note 20 series smartphones. Here is everything you need to know about the new tablets from Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7+ Pricing
To start with the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 costs EUR 699 (approx. Rs. 62,000) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while another model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage costs EUR 779 (approx. Rs. 69,100). The Galaxy Tab S7 4G model with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at EUR 799 (approx. Rs. 70,900) and the 4G model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option is priced at EUR 879 (approx. Rs. 78,000).
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, on the other hand, is priced at EUR 899 (approx. Rs. 79,700) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant whereas the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at EUR 979 (approx. Rs. 86,800). The Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G variants with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage are priced is priced at EUR 1,099 (approx. Rs. 97,500) and EUR 1,179 (approx. Rs. 1,04,600), respectively. It will be available in Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Silver colors and will go on sale from August 21 in select markets.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7+ Specifications
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 features an 11-inch LCD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It has 274ppi pixel density, 500nits peak brightness, and support for 120Hz refresh rate.
Galaxy Tab S7+, on the other hand, sports a 12.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2800 x 1700 pixels, 287ppi pixel density, 420nits peak brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Tab S7 gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, whereas the Galaxy Tab S7+ has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Both the tablets pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865+ SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of native storage. Users also get an option to expand the storage further up to 1TB through the MicroSD card.
The S Pen on the tablets offer 9-millisecond latency and air gesture support and it can be used to write notes or drawing sketches on the tablets. If you can’t afford this yet, however, you can instead grab the best cheap drawing tablet online.
There is also a new keyboard cover with a built-in trackpad and it will support DeX. Both of them run on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0.
In terms of optics, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ boast a dual-rear camera setup that comprises of the 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. The camera setup is paired with an LED flash and comes with autofocus support. For video calling and selfies, they have an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The Galaxy Tab S7 has a 7040mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S7+ has a 10,090mAh battery with up to 45W fast charging support. Galaxy Tab S7 measures 253.8 x 165.4 x 6.34mm and the weight is 495g and the Galaxy Tab S7+ measures 285 x 185 x 5.7mm and the weighs 590g
For audio, the tablets come equipped with four speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos. In terms of connectivity, both the tabs have support for 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and USB Type-C port.
