Samsung is preparing to launch a new tablet under the Tab A8 series in the upcoming months. No official announcement has been made by Samsung. In the meantime, a few details about Tab A8 have leaked online. The device has been listed on Geekbench which revealed some key specifications of the tablet.
The Geekbench listing indicates that the model number of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is SM-X200. The tablet packs a 2GHz octa-core Unisoc T618 processor and 3GB of RAM. Samsung may release a 4GB RAM variant as well. According to the listing, the tablet achieved a single-core score of 1704 and a multi-core score of 5256 on Geekbench.
Samsung’s upcoming tablet has been leaked in the past. The leaked design renders have revealed that the Tab A8 will have a 10.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate support. It will feature a slightly thick bezel around the display. There will be a front-facing camera on the right edge of the tab, which will switch to the top when held horizontally.
The back of the phone will feature a single 8MP camera sensor without an LED flash. It will have a 5MP front camera. Additionally, Samsung is expected to offer a 7,040 mAh battery alongside support for fast charging. The tablet is likely to launch in 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB storage variants, based on region. It is expected to come in three colors: silver, gold, and grey.
