South Korean smartphone brand Samsung is reportedly working on a new tablet called Samsung Galaxy Tab A7. The tablet has now surfaced on the benchmark listing website Geekbench revealing few key specs. Although it didn’t mention the name of the processor.
The tablet sports model number SM-T505 on the benchmark listing site. As per the listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 has Qualcomm Snapdragon processor codenamed ‘Bengal’. In the single-threaded test, the phone scored 317 points, and in the multi-core one, the tab scored 1358 points. The Geekbench listing also confirms that the new tab is equipped with 3GB of RAM and runs on the Android 10 operating system out of the box.
Earlier this year, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 662 SoC that comes with octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.0GHz and it is built using 11nm process technology. The chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU. It supports up to the 25-megapixel single camera, 16-megapixel dual camera, and up to 48-megapixel photo capture with 1080p video capture at 60fps.
The chipset has a 3rd generation Qualcomm AI Engine with Hexagon Vector Extensions and the ISP also supports HEIF file format and enables AI-based user experiences such as avatars, night photography, and face and voice authentication. It supports up to Full HD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate, Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support, and more.
Recently, the company has launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in India for Rs 31999 (LTE version) and Rs 27999 (Wi-Fi version). It comes with a 10.4-inch WUXGA TFT display with 2000 × 1200 pixels resolution. In terms of optics, there is a single 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and a 5-megapixel front shooter for video calling. The tab gets juice from a 7040mAh battery. Fuelling the device is a 2.3GHz octa-core Exynos 9611 processor. Software-wise, it boots Android 10-based One UI 2.0 o and comes equipped with an S Pen.
