After the Galaxy S21 Plus smartphone, another phone from the same series, Galaxy S21 has also been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench.
The handset spotted on Geekbench is believed to be the Galaxy S21 has the model number SM-G996U. The Geekbench listing reveals that the phone will have Qualcomm’s yet to be announced 875 SoC paired with 8GB RAM. It is spotted running on the latest Android 11 out of the box.
The single-core test of the 8GB RAM variant of Galaxy S21 has a score of 1120, while the multi-core test has got a score of 3319. Interestingly, the test scores are quite less when compared to the same device with Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 chipset that achieved almost 4,000 points on Geekbench.
Both Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 2100 are said to have the same CPU architecture with X1 Core that will reach 2.91GHz in Exynos 2100 while in Snapdragon 875, it will go up to 2.84GHz. As per the reports, Samsung’s Exynos 2100 processor will include three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.81GHz while they will be running at 2.42GHz on the Snapdragon 875 processor.
As usual, the South Korean giant will be launching two variants of its Galaxy S-series flagship devices based on the chipset used. The Qualcomm-powered models are made available in the United States, South Korea, and China while the rest of the world gets Exynos-powered models.
