Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G India launch around the corner as it bags BIS certification

Ahead of the official launch, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G model has received a certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Although there is no details on the launch date, we can expect the Galaxy S20 FE 5G India launch to happen sometime in this month or March.

The BIS website database now shows the Samsung model number SM-G781B/DS, which belongs to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The certification to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G was granted by the authority on 29 January 2021. The smartphone also appeared on Samsung India’s support page.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G Specifications

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has a 6.5-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 1,080×2,400 pixels screen resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio,120Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 407ppi. The display is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Powered by an octa-core Exynos 990 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of optics, the phone has a triple-camera setup that comprises of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens alongside support for optical image stabilization (OIS) and dual-phase detection autofocus. Also, there is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree field of view (FoV) and an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel shooter with an f/2.0 lens. The front-facing camera also has autofocus support.

The handset boots Android 10 based OneUI 2.0 skin. It packs 4,500mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging and wireless charging. The phone also features Samsung’s Wireless PowerShare for sharing the power with wireless charging-supported devices.

It measures 159.8×74.5×8.4mm and weighs 190 grams. Connectivity part is managed by 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
