| By Shandilya

Galaxy S10 which months away from it launch which is ought to be launch on the coming year is been rumored a lot with its upcoming features. The leaks making the device more excited what it brings on the new year. What we are hearing more about the S10 which is slated for 2019 launch rather than the Galaxy Note9 which is just a couple of months away from the official launch.

Although Samsung introduced iris scanning only two years ago with the Galaxy Note 7, it looks like it may be retiring the feature for the Galaxy S10, according to Korean publication The Bell.

The report claims that Samsung is already developing parts for the upcoming Galaxy S10, but has no plans to include an iris scanning module like in previous Galaxy phones. But instead, it might include 3D facial recognition technology.

Other rumors say that the Galaxy S10 may get better 3D-sensing front cameras. This could help improve Samsung’s Intelligent Scan, another form of biometric authentication.

Meanwhile, Apple’s 3D sensor-based “Face ID” is considered to be highly secure and should work regardless of the lighting conditions. With both in-display and 3D sensor based unlock methods, an iris scanner might be an unnecessary expense for the next Galaxy S model.

The Bell reaffirmed that the device will be codenamed “Beyond” and says the size of the display for both the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10 Plus has been confirmed. The display of the Galaxy S10 is said to be 5.8 inches, while the Galaxy S10 Plus is said to be 6.3 inches.

Rumors also hint that Samsung will further trim those bezels on the Galaxy S10 to offer a full-screen experience. To make the top bezel slimmer, the Galaxy S10 could lose the earpiece and come with a sound-emitting display, similar to the first Mi MIX smartphone.

The Galaxy S10 will be the tenth device in the Galaxy S series so Samsung will likely want to make it a special one. Just we need to look forward to what the new device features that make it unique.
