Samsung is set to launch another M series smartphone in India soon, called Galaxy M40. Ahead of the official launch, the pricing of the handset has leaked. Do note that this pricing is more of a speculative nature and official rates could very well be much different, so do keep that in mind.
According to BGR, the Samsung Galaxy M40 might become available at a retail price of around Rs. 25,000 in India. The report cites IANS as the source for this pricing. The report notes that Samsung is also running #OMG campaign that is linked to the upcoming release of the Galaxy M40 in India.
There is little information at the moment about the hardware specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M40. Recently, Galaxy M40 with model number SM-M405F spotted on Geekbench and confirmed that it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The device listed on the Geekbench with 6GB of RAM and will run on OneUI based Android 9 Pie. The handset scored 2372 points in a single-core test and 6440 points in the multi-core test.
Meanwhile, from what we know so far, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M40 will come with a Super AMOLED display. The device has already received Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications which indicates that it is all set for imminent launch. In terms of optics, it will have a front-facing camera on the dewdrop notch and triple-rear camera setup. The rear camera setup is likely to include the 16-megapixel sensor, a second 8-megapixel one with a wide-angle lens, and a third 5-megapixel camera complete with a telephoto lens. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with quick charging support.
