After several leaks and rumors, Samsung Galaxy M40 finally unveiled in India. The key highlights of the phone include full-HD+ Infinity-O Display, triple rear camera setup, and octa-core Snapdragon 675 SoC. The handset will go on sale on starting from June 18.
Samsung Galaxy M40 Specifications
As for the specs, Galaxy M40 gets a massive 6.3-inch Infinity-O display. The panel offers a full HD+ resolution and contrast ratio of 1200:1. The screen of the phone also has Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Samsung Galaxy M40 is powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset at its core. It’s further coupled with Adreno 612 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The phone also packs a 128GB internal storage and also has a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion upto 512GB.
In the camera department, the Galaxy M40 flaunts a triple camera setup at the rear. The module comprises of a 16-megapixel primary sensor, coupled with a 32-megapixel primary sensor with an AI scene optimiser and f/1.7 lens, a 5-megapixel secondary, depth sensor and an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
All of this is backed by a 3,500mAh battery that carries support for built-in 15W fast charging technology. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Samsung Galaxy M40 Price and Availability
The single variant of Galaxy M40 with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is priced at Rs. 19,990 in India.
The smartphone will go on sale starting 12 pm (noon) IST on June 18 through Amazon.in and the Samsung Online Shop. One can buy the phone in two colour options including Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue gradient.
The smartphone will compete with Redmi Note 7 Pro, RealMe 3 Pro, Nokia 7.1 and Poco F1 in India that are available in similar price tag.
Samsung Galaxy M40 Launch Offers
Samsung Galaxy M40 buyers will get double data benefits from Reliance Jio on recharge of Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 prepaid plans. Particularly on the Rs. 198 recharge, the Jio subscribers are touted to receive savings worth Rs. 3,110 over 10 recharges.
Furthermore, Vodafone and Idea would be entitled to receive cashback worth Rs. 3,750 on recharge of Rs. 255. The cashback will notably be available through recharge vouchers of Rs. 75 for up to 50 recharges. Further, the customers would get additional 0.5GB data per day for up to 18 months.
Airtel is also offering 100 percent additional data for a period of 10 months for its Galaxy M40 users. The user will get 4GB data per day on the Rs. 249 recharge that will come with additional 560GB data over 10 months. However, users on Rs. 249 plan will receive 6GB data per day with a benefit of additional 840GB data over 10 months.
