Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M21 were launched by Samsung in India in early 2020. The Galaxy M31 Prime Edition was launched in the second half of the year. As the name suggests, this version of the handset comes with Amazon apps and services. There was no similar variant for the Galaxy M21 last year. However, the phone will be released soon, a year after the initial debut.
Multiple websites have spotted the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M21 Prime Edition. In addition to Samsung India’s support page and Google Play Console, the device with model number SM-M215G is also listed on BIS’s (Bureau of Indian Standards) website.
There is very little information about this phone in these listings. By comparison, the Galaxy M21 Prime Edition should have the same specifications as the regular Galaxy M21, with the addition of pre-loaded Amazon apps and a 3-month Amazon Prime membership. It is said to be priced slightly more.
The upcoming Samsung phone will feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, Exynos 9611 SoC. In the camera department, the device will have a 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (depth) triple rear camera setup. It will feature a 20MP selfie camera. Connectivity options will include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It will be backed by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
The launch of this smartphone in India has not yet been confirmed by either Samsung or Amazon.
