Samsung has launched the Galaxy M12 in India, as part of its Galaxy M series. The new Galaxy M12 has a price tag of Rs 10,999 in India for the base variant with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Another variant with 6GB RAM with 128GB storage costs Rs 13,499. The smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, and White colour variants. Buyers can purchase the Galaxy M12 on Amazon, the Samsung website, and select retail stores from March 18.

The Samsung Galaxy M12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor which is said to be Exynos 850. The phone is backed by 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 1TB via a micro SD card slot.
In terms of optics, Samsung Galaxy M12 houses four cameras – 48-megapixel primary lens with f/2.0 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture – at the back along with an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) camera on the front.
The handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone also recognizes the face to unlock the device using the face unlock feature. It is fuelled by a 6000mAh battery with support for 15W Adaptive fast charging and it runs on Android 11 OS with the company’s OneUI 3.0 running on top of it.
On the connectivity front, the handset has dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone measures 164.0mm x 75.9mm x 9.7mm and weighs 221 grams.
