It looks like Samsung is working on the successor of the Galaxy M01 smartphone which was launched in June this year. Apparently, Samsung Galaxy M02 has been spotted on the benchmarking site Geekbench. The Geekbench listing reveals some specifications and other few details of the device along with the overall performance score.

The Galaxy M02 is said to pack a Snapdragon 450 with the model number SM-M025F. The chipset is listed to come with eight cores and its base frequency is clocked at 1.80GHz. The Geekbench score for the single-core test is 108 points and the multi-core test is 486. Other details include a 3GB RAM on the device and will run the Android 10 operating system out of the box. Apart from this, there’s no other information about the Galaxy M02.

There’s no official word by Samsung on the launch of their upcoming M-series phones. However, considering the device listed on Geekbench, and certified by Bluetooth certification, the Wi-Fi Alliance authority in the past, we can expect to see the new Galaxy M02 budget smartphone very soon.

Samsung Galaxy M01 Specifications

Samsung Galaxy M01 sports a 5.71-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels along with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It comes equipped with a 1.95Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The storage is further expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card slot. The phone lacks a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, it features a dual-camera setup with a combination of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calling, it has a 5-megapixel f/2.2 aperture camera.

The device ships with the Android 10 OS based OneUI skin. It is backed up with a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
