Samsung Galaxy M02 appeared in BIS certification, expected to launch soon in India

Samsung is said to be working on a new phone and is reported to launch a Samsung Galaxy M02, the successor of Galaxy M01. Now, Samsung Galaxy M02 surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. Leaks on the phone come with this SM-025F/DS model number. It looks like we will see the launch of the smartphone soon.

Samsung Galaxy M02 To Bis Certification

All thanks to Root MyGalaxy, which has shared an article that the Galaxy M02 has been spotted in the BIS certification with model number SM-025F/DS. This is the same model number that was spotted on the Bluetooth certification and benchmarking site Geekbench. Even though the BIS certification of the Galaxy M02 does not reveal any key features about the device, it suggests that the Galaxy M02 will launch in India in the future.

To recall, the Geekbench listing of the Galaxy M02 disclosed that the handset will be fuelled by an octa-core Qualcomm processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The processor has a base frequency of 1.80GHz. It will ship with Android 10 OS. The device managed to achieve a single-core score of 128 and a multi-core score of 486 on a benchmarking site.

Samsung Galaxy M01 Specifications

The predecessor of the Galaxy M02 launched with a 5.71-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Running on the Android 10-based OneUI, the device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The phone sports a dual-camera setup on the rear that includes a 13-megapixel main camera (f/2.2) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4). For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel camera (f/2.2). Under the hood, it has an octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
