The tweet comes with a attached video which confirms the arrival of the Infinity Display. The bezel-less display design was first seen on previous flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy S9, and now it is being introduced on mid-range smartphones as well. Samsung has also clarified that the Galaxy J6 will hit the stores on May 22, a day after the mid-range smartphone is unveiled at the Mumbai event.
There are also rumours that the company is set to launch not only Galaxy J6 at the event but also Galaxy A and J series smartphones as well.
Expected Specs
The Galaxy J6 expected to feature 5.6-inch HD+ (720×1480 pixels) AMOLED Infinity Display, which is surprising since even budget devices at this age offer a better display. The Galaxy J6 will run on the company’s own Exynos 7870 chipset with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM options and up to 64GB of onboard storage.
As far camera specs, Galaxy J6 include a 13MP single unit at the back and an 8MP sensor on the front. The phone could be backed by a 3000mAh battery, which is very underwhelming considering other mid-range smartphones are offering a minimum of 4000mAh battery.
Expected pricing
The Galaxy A-series smartphones will reportedly be priced between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000, while the devices in Galaxy J-series could cost customers Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000.
