A new Samsung Galaxy F series smartphone, the Galaxy F42 5G, was released today in India. In India, it is the first F-series phone to support 5G and features 12 distinct bands.

It is available in two versions- 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 20,999 whereas the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs 22,999. There are two colors to choose from – Matte Black and Matte Aqua.
Galaxy F42 5G will go on sale from October 3 during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale on Flipkart.com. Buyers can also get the device from Samsung Online Store and select retail stores.
Galaxy F42 5G will be available at an introductory price of Rs 17999 for the base 6GB/128GB variant while the 8GB/128GB variant will go on sale for Rs 19999 on Big Billion Day on Flipkart. The offer is only valid for a short period of time.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G offers a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate and it also has a waterdrop-style notch for selfie shooter. With up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Through a microSD card, you can expand storage up to 1TB.
In addition to its 64MP rear camera, it has a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, it has modes such as Hyperlapse, Slow Motion, Food Mode, Night Mode, Panorama, and Pro Mode. Additionally, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
Galaxy F42 5G is equipped with Dolby Atmos support. The device also comes with a 5000mAh battery that offers 15W fast charging. In addition, a fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side.
A key highlight of the Galaxy F42 5G is its nationwide 5G connectivity with 12 bands support – N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28, N66, N38, N40, N41, and N78. Further, it ships with Android 11 based One UI 3.1 skin. The handset measures 167.2×76.4×9.0mm and offers connectivity options like 3.5mm headphone, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, etc.
