In India, Samsung is set to release a budget 5G smartphone. Galaxy F42 5G will be launched on September 29 in India. Additionally, Samsung confirmed that the F42 5G will be available on Flipkart once it launches. In India, the device is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000. It is a successor to the last year’s Galaxy F41.

According to the microsite, the phone will be available in two colours – black and blue. The back of the device has a square-shaped camera module that is equipped with three cameras and an LED flash.
64MP is confirmed to be the primary sensor on this rear camera setup. Moreover, a 5MP ultrawide lens and 2MP depth sensor are likely to be included. On the front, the display has a waterdrop notch. It is confirmed on the microsite that it has a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. According to previous reports, it will sport a 6.6-inch IPS LCD.
It is rumored that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The device is expected to launch with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In India, it is confirmed that the device will have 12 5G bands. Furthermore, it will have a 5000 mAh battery. There are no details on fast charging yet. Samsung is expected to offer 15W fast charging support. Also, this device has a fingerprint scanner on its side.
