There are rumors that Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy F22 smartphone in India. Following Galaxy F41, Galaxy F02s, Galaxy F12, and Galaxy F62, this will be the fourth handset from the brand’s F-series. According to industry sources (via India TV News), the Galaxy F22 is expected to arrive in India in the second week of July.
The Galaxy F22 is likely to be a rebadged version of the Galaxy A22 that was announced earlier this week. According to reports, the F22 is likely to retail for less than Rs 15,000 and will be available exclusively through Flipkart. The support page of the phone is also live in India.
The Galaxy F22 has appeared in Google Play Console’s database before its launch (via MySmartPrice). There is a mention of the SM-E225F model number and Galaxy F22 in the listing. In the image, we can see that the phone has a teardrop notch display and it is said to feature an HD+ screen with 720 x 1339 pixels resolution.
According to the listing, the Galaxy F22 comes with MediaTek Helio G80 chipset (MT6769T), 4GB of RAM, Android 11 OS, Bluetooth 5.0, and LTE. In addition to its 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, the Galaxy F22 handset may also have a 90Hz refresh rate, 48-megapixel quad-cameras, and 13-megapixel selfie camera. In India, the A22 is priced at Rs 18,499.
