Samsung Galaxy A9 Launched – First Phone With Four Cameras

Samsung Galaxy A9, the world’s first smartphone with the quad-camera system has marked its debut in Malaysia. On the rear, the device has four cameras which are stacked vertically. With the new Galaxy A9, Samsung is going to focus on offering unique and challenging mid-range smartphones to take on the camera-centric Chinese smartphone makers such as Vivo and Oppo.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor (2.2GHz Quad + 1.8GHz Quad), paired with 128GB onboard storage that can be expandable via microSD card. The handset comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. The device has a 3D Glass-curved back, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor along with the face recognition support and a 3800mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The new Samsung Galaxy A9 comes in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and Bubblegum Pink colors. The deice runs on the Samsung Experience based on the Android 8.0 Oreo.

The world’s first smartphone with quad-camera setup, Samsung Galaxy A7 comes with a 24MP AF primary sensor with f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and f/2.4, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide 120-degree lens, f/2.4 and a 5MP sensor for depth effect. Up front, the Galaxy A9 has a 24MP sensor that comes with f/2.0 aperture.

Samsung will announce the price of the Samsung Galaxy A9 during the India launch in November of this year.
