Just a few hours after the Huawei teaser announced on its most awaiting smartphone Nova 4 which is expected to the first smartphone to come within screen selfie camera that is coming on Dec 17. Samsung announced about its holding a launch event in China on Dec 10 to release its first Galaxy smartphone with an Infinity-O display.
Its like a war between these two brands to bring out the first phone with a screen hole which has been rumoured to launch on since late November.And now the Samsung took it as pride to bring by launching its new handset a week before Huawei’s launch.
The Galaxy A8s launch poster was posted shared online by Chinese leakster Ice Universe on his Twitter page. The poster reveals that smartphone sports an Infinity-O display with a display cutout on the top left the corner for the selfie camera. The screens on both the Nova 4 and the Galaxy A8s are LCDs made by BOE. But the Samsung phone looks more premium of the two.
The Galaxy A8s sports a significantly thinner top bezel than previous Galaxy A-series smartphones from the company. While the top bezel is impressively thin, the chin at the bottom is not quite as thin. The Galaxy A8s is going to have a much more impressive screen-to-body ratio than any previous smartphone from Samsung.
Rumoured specs
The Samsung Galaxy A8s is rumoured to feature a 6.39-inch display with a full-HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. At the heart, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).
For photos, the Samsung Galaxy A8s is rumoured to bear triple camera setup with 24-megapixel, 5-megapixel, and 10-megapixel sensors at the back. At the front, there is a 24-megapixel sensor that will be housed in a display hole. According to the reports the smartphone will launch in a Black-Grey gradient colour option. Further, the handset is speculated to come with a 3,400mAh battery and have a USB Type-C port. Reportedly, the handset ditches 3.5mm audio jack support.
