Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy A53 smartphone. It is the successor to the Galaxy A52, which was released earlier this year. According to recent information, the Galaxy A53 has appeared on Geekbench with an Exynos processor.

The Galaxy A53 appears on Geekbench 5 with the model number SM-A536U. This phone is powered by an Exynos chip with the model number “s5e8825”. It has six CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and two CPU cores clocked at 2.40GHz. The chip model number indicates that the handset may be powered by Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 1200 chip. The listing’s source code reveals that the SoC includes a Mali-G68 GPU.

According to the listing, the device has 8 GB of RAM and runs Android 12. The device managed to achieve 686 points in the single-core test and 1874 in the multi-core test.

Samsung could launch the Galaxy A53 in multiple markets. The Galaxy A53’s production began earlier this month in India, according to a recent report. It has been rumored to come with a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, and IP67 rated chassis. The rest of the specifications remain a mystery.

According to CAD renders that appeared last month, the Galaxy A53 will feature a 6.5-inch  Full HD+ resolution display with support for 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole cutout for selfie shooter. The device will measure 8.14mm in thickness. The Galaxy A53 will be similar to the A52 in terms of design. The phone is likely to launch in white, black, light blue, and orange colour options.
