Samsung Galaxy A40 Launched with Exynos 7885 SoC, 25 MP Selfie Camera

South Korean giant Samsung has further expanded its portfolio of Galaxy A series by launching a new smartphone called Galaxy A40. As per the reports, the smartphone has officially unveiled in the Netherlands revealing the design and specifications of the device.

Earlier, the company had hinted that it was planning to unveil the new smartphone officially on April 10 in India. So, the Galaxy A90 might launch in India on the same date. Interestingly, the company has launched already 9 new smartphones in just a span of three months in the Indian market.

Samsung Galaxy A40 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A40 features a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED display which has an FHD+ display resolution and a tiny waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A40 comes with Exynos 7885 SoC which is laced with 4 GB RAM. That said, the Galaxy A40 runs the company’s homegrown One UI custom Android skin which is based on Android 9 Pie.

For photography, the Galaxy A40 features a 16-megapixel primary sensor at the back along with an 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide lens. Up front, there is a 25-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone has 64 GB of storage on board, but you can expand the storage up to 512 GB via microSD card.

The smartphone is offered in four colors – Black, Blue, Coral, and White – and, it ships with a 3,100 mAh battery that fuels the entire package. The general connectivity options on the device including Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, 4G VoLTE capable dual nano-SIM card slots, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

Coming to the pricing, the Galaxy A40 is priced at €249 which is approximately Rs 20,000. Talking about the availability of the Samsung Galaxy A40, the smartphone is currently available for pre-order on Dutch website Belsimpel.
