Samsung Galaxy A40 Launch Gets Closer as It Gets FCC Certification

Samsung‘s upcoming phone– the Galaxy A40– has appeared on FCC. This is not the first time that the phone has been leaked but the latest listing on the FCC gives some specification details of the device.

The listing confirms that the device bears the model number SM-A405FN and has received the FCC approval. This suggests that the launch of the phone is expected to happen sooner than later.

The FCC listing reveals that the phone will have dimensions of 144.3 x 69.1mm. The display measures 153.0mm diagonally. Further, it revealed that the device will sport a 5.7-inch Infinity-V display. Earlier it was reported that the Galaxy A40 will sport a 6.4-inch display similar to Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 models. The handset comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, and ANT+.

The Galaxy A40 is anticipated to ship with Android Pie out of the box. Under the hood, the Galaxy A40 is said to be fueled by the Exynos 7904 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It is likely to feature a dedicated SD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 512GB.

Earlier, it was reported that the Galaxy A40 will carry a price tag of EUR 249 (INR 20,100 approx.) in most European countries. Although previous reports have it that Galaxy A series smartphones could launch within June 2019, the FCC listing may be an indication that the phone could come before that.
