Samsung Galaxy A12 appears on BIS, Galaxy A32 4G spotted on Geekbench

Samsung Galaxy A12 has reportedly been spotted on the Indian BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website, hinting at a future launch in the country. Even though there is no word on the launch from the smartphone maker, the BIS listing raises hopes of an India launch in the future. The company recently launched Galaxy S21 series in the country alongside the Galaxy Buds Pro.

Galaxy A12 with the model number SM-A125F has recently been certified by the Indian BIS certification website. Unfortunately, the BIS certification does not reveal anything about the specifications of the phone.

Along with this, the Galaxy A32 4G appeared on the benchmarking site Geekbench. To recall, the company unveiled the Galaxy A32 5G a couple of days back. Now, it seems the brand is gearing up to launch the Galaxy A32 with 4G connectivity.

As seen in the Geekbench database image, the Galaxy A32 4G (with the model number Samsung SM-A125F) has managed to pull off 347 in the single-core test and 1261 in the multi-core test. It has been listed with a motherboard section that mentions MT6769V/CT, which could be the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC alongside 6GB of RAM. The phone will be running on Android 11 according to the benchmarks.

The Galaxy A12 made its way to Europe back in December with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with an Infinity-V notch. Powering the phone is an octa-core chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (1TB max.).

It has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and on its back is a 48-megapixel (f/2.0), a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f/2.2), a 2-megapixel macro sensor (f/2.4), and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4) quad camera setup. 

The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Backed by a 5,000mAh battery which also has support for 15W fast charging. There is support for LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. The phone runs Android 10 OS out of the box. The phone measures 164×75.8×8.9mm and weighs 205 grams.

It features a 6.5-inches HD+ TFT Infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. There’s also a notch housing a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) selfie camera. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The rear side of the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is a place for the quad-camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

Further, the phone is powered by an octa-core 2.0GHz processor, which is believed to be the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC paired with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 1TB.

For connectivity, it comes with 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. It runs One UI 2.1 based on Android 11, and packs in a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The phone measures 164.2 x 76.1 x 9.1mm and weighs 205 grams.
