Samsung Galaxy A12 India launch confirmed, support page goes live

Recently, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A12 in Europe and now the phone is listed on the Samsung India website support page. This indicates that the smartphone will launch in India too, however, the launch date is still unknown.

The details regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A series phone is also shared by popular tipster Mukul Sharma. This further confirms the Galaxy A12 smartphone’s launch in India, however, the exact launch date is not known yet. 

The tipster also stated that the phone will have a 48-megapixel primary camera, a macro lens, a depth sensor, and an ultra-wide-angle lens in its camera setup. The tipster has shared a 12-second timer going in the video which further hints at the phone being the Samsung Galaxy A12.

In European markets, the Galaxy A12 is priced at EUR 169 for the 4GB + 64GB variant which converts to Rs. 14,900 so we can expect the smartphone to launch in India with a price tag of around Rs 15,000.

Since the phone is already launched in the European market, hence we already know all the specifications.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Specifications (European Variant)

The Samsung Galaxy A12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display with a notch for the selfie camera. The phone is powered by an octa-core SoC and comes with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 1TB).

On the imaging front, the Samsung Galaxy A12 sports a quad rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens, a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and two 2-megapixel sensors with an f/2.4 lens. Upfront, it features an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

It comes with 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a fingerprint scanner. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The handset measures 164.0×75.8×8.9mm and weighs 205 grams.
