Samsung Galaxy A02 goes official with 5,000mAh battery

Samsung has officially taken the lid off its Galaxy A02 smartphone. While the phone has launched globally, there is no word on India’s availability yet. Customers can purchase the phone for THB 2,999 (converts to Rs 7,300) in Denim Black, Denim Blue, Denim Red, and Denim Gray color options.

The display is a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V that bears 720 x 1,560 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it packs the 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739W chipset coupled with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It has 2GB/ 3GB RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB storage. The internal storage is further expandable up to 1TB. The smartphone is preinstalled with Android 11 with OneUI on top and supports dual-SIM cards.

For optics, the Samsung Galaxy A02 opts for a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The main camera is paired with a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the phone features a 5MP selfie shooter.

The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 7.75W charging with the provided adapter in the box. Other notable features on the smartphone include 4G LTE connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack, Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and a 5,000mAh battery with 7.75W charging support. It measures 164.0mm x 75.9mm x 9.1mm and weighs 206 grams.
