In Russia, Samsung has released the Galaxy A Kids tablet in collaboration with Smeshariki, a Russian children’s brand. It will be preloaded with more than 20 educational and entertainment apps from brands like Lego. In addition, the tablet has a special interface with a digital assistant named Marusia, is designed to keep kids entertained with stories, music, and games. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids will be offered with a brightly coloured protective cover/stand.

Priced at RUB 14,990 (roughly Rs. 15,500), the Samsung Galaxy A Kids is available to purchase via the official Samsung online store and retail stores in Russia. There have been no announcements about the tablet’s availability in India or other markets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids offers an interface designed especially for children. It offers parental controls for limiting access and configuring the type of content available to children. Additionally, a shock-resistant case is included with the tablet to prevent accidental falls.
There is an 8.7-inch TFT touchscreen with reduced bezels and a screen resolution of 1,340×800 pixels. This device is listed with a 2.3GHz octa-core processor, possibly the MediaTek Helio P22T SoC found in the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
