Samsung expected to come with three unique flagships to beat Apple in 2019

| By Shandilya

Apple recently launched its three premium flagship smartphones this year which got huge fanship with these lineup series where none of them are 5G ready. It is clear that 2019 is going to be the year when 5G tech arrives in our mobiles. But the current iPhones – iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR –may not be future-proof for when 5G networks actually start rolling out sometime in 2020, but Samsung’s next set of flagship devices surely will.

According to the new report from Bloomberg reveals that South Korean electronics giant may launch three flagship smartphones next year – one 5G-ready premium flagship, one cheaper flagship and a foldable smartphone which being rumoured for about three years. According to the report,Samsung strategy to take on rival Apple in the premium smartphone segment.where we already got to know that the Samsung is working on the Galaxy S10 with a fifth-generation wireless chipset hat is confirmed by the company itself in talks ith Verizon in the US.Samsung’s biggest goal is to choose the biggest wireless carrier in the US to support its 5G technology.

In our country, Samsung is in partnership with Reliance Jio where it is expected to bring the 5G support smartphone. At the ongoing event India Mobile Congress (IMC), Samsung announced its plan for India’s first large-scale 5G trial, scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2019.

“Our partnership with Reliance Jio has empowered millions, making their everyday lives better. Our roadmap for 5G showcases our strong commitment to India. We will continue to be a partner in Government of India’s Digital India mission,” said HC Hong, President and CEO, Samsung Electronics SouthWest Asia at the sidelines of IMC 2018.

And the report also claims that the Galaxy S10 (codenamed Beyond) will come with a 5.8-inch OLED display curved on both sides and an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is also confirmed by the multiple leaks.Coming to the smartphone’s specs, the report states that the S10 will sport a triple camera setup on the back, while the front cameras will be embedded within the display.

Recently, the company reveled a teaser about its new A8 smartphone with drilled front camera housed smartphone which could challenge flagships from Huawei and Oppo with its innovative design . The model could replace Samsung’s existing Galaxy A lineup altogether as it hopes to win consumers with the pull of Galaxy S branding.

The premium 5G-enabled version of the S10 could come in two sizes – regular and plus – the cheaper version will shed Samsung’s signature dual-curved display, while Samsung is also following trending phone design by ditching the headphone jack just like Apple and other flagship-makers like OnePlus.

Now we are talking about the most prospective flagship smartphone from Samsung would be the foldable phone which is said to be codenamed “Winner” and come without a fingerprint sensor.

This bendable display phone might not feature a fingerprint sensor and is expected to include an extra four-inch screen on the outside for basic features like browsing mails and messages, without having to flip it open. The prototype design could be similar to Motorola Razr phone with the screen opening with a snap. The report claims that the display is coated with a film that “feels like ones used in photography instead of glass.”

The device has already passed internal tests of folding more than 2,00,000 times but there are still questions related to its yield rate in mass production. The company is struggling to figure out technical problems that may arise during mass production including possibility of this foldable display cracking into dried paper. The report mentions that the prototype measures more than 200 grams and Samsung might reduce the battery size in order to make it lighter.

With all these unique flagships,Samsung could surprise us  with its strong opening to 2019 as the Galaxy S10 flagships are expected to be launched at MWC in February. These premium smartphones, combined with the companies assertive push to combat Chinese players in the budget and mid-range smartphone categories, makes Samsung a company to watch out for in 2019.
