Samsung’s big event is just few days away which is expected to launch Galaxy S10 lineup along with Samsung new products. But ahead of launch, the company announced its latest devices the Galaxy Tab S5e and the Galaxy Tab A (2019) expanding its tablet lineup. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is the thinnest tablet in Samsung’s portfolio at just 5.5mm and features a sleek metallic body and slim bezels that is reminiscent of the latest iPad Pro. While the Galaxy Tab A is a refreshed model in 2019 with a 10.1-inch screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e specifications and pricing
As by the name spotted with ‘e’ which looks similar to the upcoming flagship name Galaxy S10e but this tablet isn’t powerful as the Galaxy Tab S4 which is currently Samsung’s most powerful tablet but it does have its own features and fall in the affordable price segment. The name tablet also hints at the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S5 in the future.
In terms of design, The tablet has an aluminium body that weighs s 400g making it Samsung’s lightest and slimmest tablet till date. The smartphone is available in three colours- black, gold, and silver.
The Galaxy Tab S5e has a 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display with slim bezels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 670 processor with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage.
For imaging, It has a 13MP primary camera on its back and an 8MP selfie camera. similar to the Tab S4 and Tab S3, the Tab S5e also comes with four speakers that are tuned by AKG along with support for Dolby Atmos. The company claims the speakers have auto rotate stereo technology that automatically determines if you are holding the tablet in portrait or landscape mode.
On the software front, the device runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with One UI on top. There is Bixby 2.0 so you can use it as a hub to control your smart home devices. The device is backed up by a 7,040mAh battery with support for fast charging via a USB type-c port. The tablet comes with Spotify and a free three months premium subscription for new members.
For biometrics, The device sports a fingerprint scanner that is buried under the power button and there is also support for face unlock.
The company says that the device will be launch in the second quarter of the year with a starting price of $400 in the US. There are also dedicated LTE and WI-fi variants priced at €479 and €419 respectively with availability scheduled for April 5 in Germany. The preorder will kick off on March 14 and ends on April 4In preorder there is a free pair of AKG Headphones.
The tablet will come with an optional keyboard sleeve that connects via pogo pins if you need to use it for some light work. It also has Samsung DeX in case you want to use it as a desktop PC.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 packs a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and 16:10 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Exynos 7904 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded further via microSD card (up to 400GB). It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera and draws powers from a 6,150mAh battery. Additionally, the tablet packs dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support and can connect with an external keyboard via the pogo pin port.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is priced at €210 for the Wi-Fi version and €270 for the LTE version. It will also be available in Germany starting April 5. However, there is no information on their availability in other markets
