After Airtel and Vi, Reliance Jio has raised the prices of prepaid 4G plans in India. The revised pricing of the Jio prepaid plans will be applicable from December 1. The Basic Jio 4G prepaid plan, which was previously priced at Rs 129, is now priced at Rs 155. 
The company has increased the price of all its 4G prepaid plans by 20 percent. A few days ago, Vi and Airtel increased the price of their 4G prepaid plans by up to 25 percent. With the price hike, Jio stated that it will further “strengthen a sustainable telecom industry.”
Jio Price Hike – New Plan Rates
From December 1, 2021, JioPhone plans in India will cost Rs 91 for 28 days instead of Rs 75. The basic unlimited plan that was previously priced at Rs 129 will now cost Rs 155. With this 28-day plan, users receive 2GB of data per month, unlimited voice calls, and 300 SMS. Another prepaid plan, which was previously available for Rs 149, now costs Rs 179. This plan comes with validity for 24 days and offers 1GB of 4G data per day, 100 SMS, and unlimited voice calls.
Jio has increased the price of its Rs 199 prepaid plan to Rs 239 from Rs 199. The 28-day plan includes 1.5GB of 4G data, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited voice calls. Also, the Rs 249 plan will cost Rs 299 for 28 days of 2GB of data.
From December 1, Reliance Jio’s Rs 399 and Rs 444 will cost Rs 479 and Rs 533, respectively. With the two plans, users will receive 1.5GB and 2GB of data per day. The two plans also include 100 SMS and unlimited voice calls.
The base three-month plan with a 1.5GB per day plan, previously priced at Rs 555, will now cost Rs 666. A plan with 2GB per day is now priced at Rs 719 instead of Rs 599. This 84-day Jio 4G plan also offers unlimited voice and 100 SMS per day.
Talking about the long-term plans, the 336 days plan which was priced at Rs 1299, now costs Rs 1559. The 365-days plan, on the other hand, costs Rs 2879 instead of its previous price of Rs 2399.
Moreover, Jio has raised the prices of the data add-ons. The Rs 51 data add-on that offers 6GN of additional data is now priced at Rs 61. The 12GB add-on pack and 50GB add-on packs that were earlier available for Rs 101 and Rs 251 now costs Rs 121 and Rs 301, respectively.
