Xiaomi has announced the new RedmiBook 15 series under its new sub-brand Redmi. The lineup includes RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook eLearning Edition laptops.
RedmiBook Pro features an 11th Generation Intel Core i5 Tiger Lake H35 series chip with embedded Intel Iris Xe graphics. The RedmiBook e-Learning Edition has a Core i3-1115G4 processor with 256GB / 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD and a cheaper price tag.
RedmiBook Series Pricing and availability
The RedmiBook Pro costs Rs 49,999, and the RedmiBook e-Learning Edition is priced at Rs 41,999 for the 256GB version, and it costs Rs 44,999 for the 512GB version. Beginning August 6, they will be available on Flipkart, mi.com, and MiHome stores. Both the RedmiBook Pro 15 and RedmiBook e-Learning Edition come in Charcoal Grey colour.
HDFC card members can get additional discounts of up to 3500 rupees for the Pro model. The HDFC cardholders can also get a discount of up to INR 2500 when purchasing the RedmiBook e-Learning edition.
RedmiBook Series Specifications
RedmiBook laptops feature a 15.6-inch full HD display, making them the ideal size for enhancing the user experience. Additionally, these notebooks have an anti-glare coating to reduce eye strain and reflectivity. The RedmiBooks offer a screen-to-body ratio of 81.8% and come with a 1920*1080 full HD resolution.
The RedmiBook Pro is powered by a Core i5 11th Gen TigerLake H35 series processor, the 11300H. Additionally, it has 8GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. It takes less than 15 seconds to boot up the new RedmiBook Pro.
Powered by a 46WHr battery, the Redmibook can last up to 10 hours. With a 65W charger, users can charge their notebooks from 0 to 50% in just 35 minutes or less.
With its scissor mechanism keyboard, RedmiBook provides a comfortable typing experience. The 1.5mm travel of the keys allows for easier typing. Furthermore, these notebooks feature a large 100cm2 trackpad. Additionally, the trackpad supports Windows Precision Drivers, which permit swipes and multi-finger taps, which can be used for shortcuts to various programs and commands.
Two 2W stereo speakers are included in the laptop. Additionally, it comes pre-installed with a DTS audio processing app. It also features an optimally located 720P HD integrated camera and dual-microphone setup.
RedmiBook e-Learning Edition Specifications
RedmiBook e-Learning Edition is specially designed for students, college students, and office workers who are avid learners. It is powered by Intel’s TigerLake 1115G4 Core i3 processor, clocked at 4.1 GHz, one of the latest processors available on the market.
Additionally, it has 8GB of DDR4 RAM, clocked at 3200MHz, and has two options for internal storage: a 256GB SATA SSD or a 512GB NVMe SSD. The laptop also comes with a 720p HD webcam.
Connectivity options include 2x USB 3.2 Gen, 1x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI, 1x Gigabit Ethernet Port, along with a 3.5 mm combo audio jack and an SD card reader. Additionally, the notebooks feature 2×2 Wi-Fi 5. Additionally, it has Bluetooth 5.0, which offers faster data transfers at reduced power consumption.
The RedmiBook laptops will run on Windows 10 Home and will be eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 11 when it becomes available. In addition, it comes preloaded with MS Office Home and Student 2019.
