Earlier this year in January, Redmi got separated with Xiaomi to become a separate brand and launched Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones into the market. Both smartphones are doing well in India and China.
The company also officially announced that it sold over one million Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro units in India.

Now the company is planning to bring up its next flagship smartphones – it also caught online while the General Manager Lu Weibing using it for a while. Multiple leaks also revealed more information about the smartphone.
The official name or the series of this upcoming flagship is not yet confirmed by the company. But it is sure that this upcoming smartphone from Redmi is powered with Snapdragon 855 SoC. It is also expected that this smartphone will be the cheapest smartphone to come with Snapdragon chipset.
Redmi Upcoming Flagship Features
A month ago, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun was caught using the upcoming Redmi smartphone, again now the company’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas also seen online using the same smartphone along with Lin Bin, The company’s President and Co-Founder.
The interesting thing about this upcoming smartphone is that this would be the first notch-less smartphone from the company. It also features a pop-up selfie camera on the top left and 3.5mm audio jack on the right.
There’s no information available about the launch of the smartphone for now, but based on some rumors, the launch is expected in a coming couple of months. There are multiple other smartphones which are expected to go official soon. The Redmi S3 with a 32 MP selfie camera will be launched soon. This will be launched in the Indian market as Redmi Y3 and Xiaomi already confirmed that it will go official on April 24. In the coming months, Xiaomi is also planning to bring Redmi 7A and Redmi 7 Pro smartphones.
