Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch its upcoming Redmi Note 9 series smartphone, the Redmi Note 9S on March 23. The company has confirmed this news by releasing a teaser and confirming the launch will take place on March 23 in Singapore. The company has unveiled the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphones in India last week with a starting price of Rs 12,999.
While the new teaser reveals the launch date of the Redmi Note 9S, it gives away little else. However, it gives us a hint about the quad-camera set-up on the rear.
While the details regarding specs and features of the Redmi Note 9S is not available at this moment, it is likely to come with a 6.67-inches IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution. The handset reportedly packs octa-core Snapdragon 720G SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The phone is tipped to come with a 48 megapixels primary sensor, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro lens, and a 2 megapixels depth sensor in its quad-camera setup. A 16 megapixels camera will take care of the selfie department.
Similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro, the Redmi Nte 9S is expected to pack a 5020mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It will run on the latest MIUI 11 based on Android 10 OS.
