Redmi Note 9 all set to launch in India on July 20

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 smartphone which was launched in April, this year is all set to make its debut in India. The phone will be launched in India on July 20 at 12 pm (noon). 

The company has shared a post on Twitter which reveals the launch date of the phone. However, the Indian price and availability details of the smartphone are still under wraps. For those interested to buy the upcoming Redmi Note 9, the official website has a ‘Notify Me’ option to get further details.

Redmi Note 9 Specifications

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display that offers HD+ screen resolution of 1,080×2,340 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

It comes with a quad-camera setup on the back that consists of a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 2-megapixel lenses. On the front, there’s a 13-megapixel selfie snapper.

There’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC (select markets), infrared (IR) blaster, GPS, A-GPS, and more. It runs the latest Android 10-based MIUI 11 skin and is powered by a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W charging.

The Redmi Note 9 has been priced at $199 which roughly converts to Rs 15,100 and the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at $249 (approx. Rs. 18,900). While the Indian pricing is not yet known, we expect the smartphone to be priced similarly which we’ll know for sure once it gets launched on July 20.
