Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Friday launched an affordable Redmi Note 9 5G series in home-country China. Here is everything you need to know about Redmi Note 9 4G and Note 9 5G series smartphones.

Redmi Note 9 4G comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor.

The smartphone runs the Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own MIUI skin. The device packs up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.

Redmi Note 9 4G features a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone also houses an 8MP front camera for selfies.

The Redmi Note 9 5G comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display which features a 60Hz refresh rate and 2,340×1,080 pixels screen resolution. It has a punch-hole at the top left of the display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes pre-installed with Android 10-based MIUI 12.

The Redmi Note 9 5G packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. The smartphone houses a 48MP main camera, 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It can shoot 40k in 30fps and 1080p in up to 60fms. At the front, the smartphone features a 13MP camera for selfies.

It features a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2,400×1,080 pixels,120Hz refresh rate, 250Hz touch sampling rate and Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC alongside Adreno 619 graphics, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. The phone comes with up to 256GB of onboard storage that is expandable via a microSD card.
