Redmi Note 9 Power tipped to launch in India soon, could be the rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is gearing up for an imminent launch of its next smartphone in India. The company recently launched Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 9 4G in China. Now, as per the latest report, the Redmi Note 9 4G may make its India debut as the Redmi Note 9 Power.

According to a tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Redmi Note 9 Power in India. A Xiaomi device called Redmi Note 9 Power spotted on Google Play Console with the same model number as that of the Redmi Note 9 4G. The phone is also codenamed ‘lime’ on the Google Play Console database.

If the rumors are indeed accurate, the Redmi Note 9 Power should be identical to the Redmi Note 9 4G in most areas. Unfortunately, there isn’t much known about the Redmi Note 9 Power. Other details are pretty scarce as of now and we’ll have to wait. We will update our readers with the new details and reports regarding the phone.

Redmi Note 9 4G Specifications

The Redmi Note 9 4G has a 6.53-inch panel featuring a Full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. In the memory department, the phone is available in up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage variants. Fortunately, the smartphone does have a microSD card slot, which makes it possible to expand the storage further.

On the back of the phone is a triple-camera setup featuring a 48MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide camera as well as a 2MP depth sensor. It has an 8MP front-facing camera. 

The phone runs Android 10-based MIUI 12 and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It packs a non-removable 6000mAh battery and has support for 18W fast charging. It offers Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 02.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port, and a headphone jack. It weighs 162.3 x 77.28 x 9.6mm and weighs 198grams.
