Xiaomi has added a new color option for Redmi Note 9. The smartphone’s latest Shadow Black color variant will be available for buyers in India Amazon.in, mi.com, Mi Homes, Mi Preferred Partners, and other offline stores. 
The Chinese tech company had launched the phone in India initially in four color options: Aqua Green, Arctic White, Pebble Grey, and Scarlet Red. With the new color option, the Redmi Note 9 will go on sale in India in five colors. However, the new Shadow Black color variant of Redmi Note 9 is only available in 4GB/64GB and is up for sale for a discounted price of Rs 10,999 instead of its regular price of Rs 11,499.
Redmi Note 9 price in India is set for Rs 11,499 for the 4GB/64GB storage variant while the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB variants are priced at Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999, respectively.

The Redmi Note 9 sports a 6.53-inch display. The punch-hole display produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The MIUI 11 based Android 10 comes preloaded on the handset. The phone also has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and P2i splash-proof.
Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 aided with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. There is also a microSD card slot for additional storage. Backed by a 5,020mAh battery, it supports 22.5W charging and also supports 9W reverse charging.
In terms of optics, it has a quad-camera setup which consists of a primary lens of 48-megapixel (Samsung GM1) followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and two 2-megapixel lenses. For selfies, there is a 13-megapixel.
