After a few weeks of leaks and speculation, Redmi Note 9 5G series now finally has a launch date. Xiaomi has finally confirmed the launch date of its upcoming Redmi Note 9 5G series. Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Note 9 5G series will be unveiled on November 26.
As per the poster shared by the company, the Redmi Note 9 series will include three smartphones. The teaser image also shows the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in two colors – purple and aqua. Further, the phones will have a circular quad-camera setup alongside an LED flash unit placed on the left side of the camera module.
Even though the specifications of Redmi Note 9 5G series smartphones are not clear, thanks to a series of leaks, we already have a fair idea of what to expect from the upcoming %G smartphones from Xiaomi.
Redmi Note 9 5G Specifications
It is expected to feature a 6.53-inch full HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels. The handset reportedly packs MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and is likely to launch with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM and with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options. It also has support for microSD cards (512GB).
The Redmi Note 9 5G will reportedly flaunt a display with a punch-hole cutout to house the 13MP selfie snapper. It’s said to house a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor. Other features will include a 4,900mAh battery and 5G support. It is expected to measure 161.96×77.25×9.20mm and weigh 200 grams.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G Specifications
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G said to feature a 6.67-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display. It will be fuelled by an unspecified octa-core processor (likely to be the Snapdragon 750G So). It is said to come with 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of RAM and with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of internal storage.
The phone reportedly features a 108MP primary camera on the back and a 16MP sensor. It could be powered by a 4,720mAh battery. It is expected to measure 165.4×76.8×9.0mm and weigh 214.5 grams.
In addition to that, recent reports also suggest that Redmi Note 9 5G aka Redmi Note 9 Standard Edition may launch with a [rice tag of CNY 1,000 (approx. Rs. 11,300) whereas the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G aka Redmi Note 9 High Edition might be priced at CNY 1,500 (approx. Rs. 17,000).
