Xiaomi is all set to launch a new Redmi Note 8 series smartphones in China on August 29. Now ahead of the launch, the variants and the pricing of the smartphone have leaked online.
The new leak spotted by 91Mobiles states that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be arriving in China in two variants. The base model with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage will be priced at CNY 1,799 (approx. Rs. 18,000). The second variant featuring 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage will cost 2,199 CNY 2,099 (approx. Rs. 21,000).
As per the report, the Redmi Note 8 price will start from CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs. 12,000) for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There will be two other variants, sadly, there are no details regarding the price of the other variants of the Redmi Note 8.
In a separate post, Lu Weibing, Redmi General Manager has shared an image of the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s retail packaging, which shows smartphone’s peppy pink color option. Further, he noted that the company is taking a slightly different approach this time with the whole retail presentation compared to its predecessor.
Furthermore, Xiaomi President Lin Bin has posted the battery usage graph of the Redmi Note 8 Pro he is currently using and he claimed that the device battery easily lasts over two days. Even after two days of his usage, the handset still had 40 percent battery left. It is worth to mention that the company already officially revealed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will come equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
Additionally, a trailer teasing the launch of a “Redmi Note 8 Pro” x “World of Warcraft Edition” shared on Weibo by Xiaomi’s official handle and it gives us a closer look at the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s custom variant in a black avatar. The Redmi Note 8 Pro’s Warcraft edition will come with some exclusive gifts and a special collector’s gift box.
Talking about the specs, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is confirmed to launch with the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and a 64-megapixel camera that has support 25x zoom.
