Redmi Note 8 was launched in China recently in three variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 64GB and 4GB RAM + 128GB. Now, a new listing of the Redmi Note 8 has appeared on TENAA which suggests that the company is working on to bring more powerful variant soon.
The below image from the TENAA listing shows that Redmi Note 8 has been updated on TENAA to reflect a 8GB RAM option, alongside the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The latter two have already been launched, while the 8GB RAM option still remains to be launched. The listing also shows a new storage option of 256GB for the 8GB RAM variant.
At this moment in time, the Redmi Note 8 comes with a price tag of 999 Yuan (approx. Rs 10,000) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB, while 6GB+ 64GB storage model costs 1199 Yuan (approx. Rs 12,000) and the currently available top variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at 1399 yuan (approx. Rs 14,000).
Redmi Note 8 Specifications
To recall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 flaunts a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) display. The screen carries a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the device gets powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. On the optical front, the smartphone sports a quad camera setup on the rear that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth camera sensor for Portrait shots. Upfront, it sports a 13MP selfie shooter.
The handset runs MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie. It is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology via USB Type-C.
