Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 7 in China last week, which comes in as a successor to the Redmi Note 5 smartphone. Unlike its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7 is a mid-range smartphone with a whopping 48-megapixel camera on the rear and the latest spec sheet. Now, the brand seems to be all set to launch the smartphone in India soon. Moreover, along with the Redmi Note 7, the company is likely to unveil Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Go in India before the end of the first quarter.
Talking about the bigger sibling of Redmi Note 7, the first-ever leak of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro had hinted at the Redmi Note 7 Pro will have a Sony’s IMX586 sensor powered 48-megapixel camera on the rear and the recent report from the leakster confirmed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 675 SoC. As far as the price of Redmi Note 7 Is concerned, the Redmi Note 7 Pro rumored to launch with a price tag of CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 15,800).
Recently specifications and features of the Redmi Go surfaced online. According to the reports, Redmi Go is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. However, with this phone, the company will focus on the affordable smartphones India. Previous, US FCC certification revealed some specs of the Redmi Go include dual-SIM, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity. As per the report, the device will have 141mm of height and 71mm of width beside a diagonal measurement of 150mm. This suggests that the device might have an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi Go phone will have 1GB RAM and being an Android Go phone it is likely to run on latest Android 9 Pie. Coming to the Redmi Go price in India, Xiaomi Go Android phone could be priced at Rs. 3000.
Last week, the Redmi Note 7 launched in China with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. The device backs 4,000mAh battery which is compatible with 18 watts quick, wired charging. The Redmi Note 7 sports a metal unibody design and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and it comes with a gradient glass-like back finish and carries a new “Redmi by Xiaomi” logo on the back. The new Redmi Note 7 features a whopping 48-megapixel (Samsung GM1 sensor) camera on the back which has an aperture of f/1.8 and secondary camera of 5-megapixel for depth-sensing. Xiaomi claims the 48-megapixel sensor employs pixel-binning to take better shots at a 12-megapixel resolution with larger 1.6-micron pixels. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with standard beauty and AI modes.
