There is no word on an India launch as yet, but a cryptic tweet shared by Xiaomi’s India head, Manu Kumar Jain hints at the possibility of the launch in February.

Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain on Thursday tweeted his image along with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun holding the Redmi Note 7 in his hand. The tweet also includes upside down text that hints the launch of Redmi Note 7 in India. The tweet clearly hints on the arrival of the next smartphone from Xiaomi to be launched in India. All bets are on the Redmi Note 7 price in India.

The company is also going to launch the bigger sibling of Redmi Note 7 in China shortly. Earlier, it was confirmed that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro will have a Sony’s IMX586 sensor powered 48-megapixel camera on the rear and the recent report from the leakster confirmed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 675 SoC. As far as the price of Redmi Note 7 Pro is concerned, it is rumored to launch for the price tag of CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 15,800).

The same was also posted in a tweet by Sanjay Bafna. In the tweet, Sanjay Bafna notes that the Redmi Note 7 will be launched in February month in India.

To recall, Redmi Note 7 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. The phone backs 4,000mAh battery which is compatible with 18 watts quick, wired charging. The Redmi Note 7 comes with a metal unibody design and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and it comes with a gradient glass-like back finish and carries a new “Redmi by Xiaomi” logo on the back. It features a whopping 48-megapixel (Samsung GM1 sensor) camera on the back which has an aperture of f/1.8 and a secondary camera of 5-megapixel for depth-sensing. Xiaomi claims the 48-megapixel sensor employs pixel-binning to take better shots at a 12-megapixel resolution with larger 1.6-micron pixels. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with standard beauty and AI modes on the front.
